Baby's In The House Of Demons!

Like a snake waiting to strike, Drawoc fixed his attention on his target.
`A magnetic field of fear', he murmured. `Couldn't be better'. He congratulated himself on the brilliance of his idea...an idea that would get rid of Buzzin' Gun and weaken the others; for without Buzzin' Gun to lead, the rest of the gang would falter and victory would surely be his...it would also show Evil Eyes.
Drawoc manoeuvred himself towards his target and began to focus all his energy on the magnetic field of fear; if all went well, he would soon have his prey in his clutches.
`Come to me', murmured Drawoc.
Baby wobbled then straightened himself up; he seemed to bounce but couldn't maintain his balance; no sooner was he on his feet when he rolled sideways and floundered again. How did the others manage it? Baby straightened up and tried to grab hold of Buzzin's leg but he felt himself being pulled; he tried to resist but found himself moving towards the edge of the Wave.
Baby began to panic; he didn't want to get too close to the edge in case he fell off and didn't His Grace say that no one was to leave the Wave.
Baby tried to twist himself round in Buzzin's direction, but whatever was pulling him was getting stronger.
`Buzzin'...help', yelled Baby.
Buzzin' turned, just in time to see Baby reach the edge of the Wave.
`Hang on Baby', cried Buzzin'
But it was too late. Drawoc had managed to `draw' Baby along the magnetic field of fear and away from the safety of the Wave. The rest of the gang looked on, horrified, as Baby was pulled closer to Drawoc, now only inches away.
Baby began to whimper with fear.
`Buzzin...help me', cried Baby.
`Oh no...Baby' moaned Saphyr. `How...how did...that happen'
`A magnetic field of fear is how', said Golden King.
`Let me get at him', rasped Fox, moving forward.
`Wait Foxy', said Golden King, grabbing Fox by the arm. `Leave this to Buzzin''
Baby was now in the clutches of Drawoc.
`And what have we here', jeered Drawoc. `A Buzzin' Gun doll'
`Let him go', Buzzin's voice was even but threatening.
`And miss the opportunity to see how cool you really are Buzzin' Gun'
`Let him go...it's me you want. He's just a kid. No use to you'
`True', said Drawoc. `But I never did develop any paternal instincts'
Drawoc swung Baby to and fro. Baby struggled and screamed, trying to free himself.
`SHUT UP', roared Drawoc.
Buzzin watched, resisting the urge to leap forward, realising that any move he made could further provoke Drawoc.
`I'm warning you Drawoc', said Buzzin', coolly.
`Say what you like, you don't frighten me Buzzin' Gun'
`Don't I?'
Drawoc stared at his opposite number then defiantly held Baby higher.
`I'll show you how much you I care', said Drawoc.
He turned to Baby `There's only one place you're going'. THE HOUSE OF DEMONS and make it first class delivery', yelled Drawoc, throwing Baby towards the dark.
Baby was pulled towards the Dark and immediately swallowed up; Buzzin' and the rest of the gang looked on, horrified, as Baby disappeared.
`NO...no', gasped Star
`Why that...when I get my hands on him', said Quicksilver.
`Let's see you in action now, Buzzin', Drawoc, challenged.
Buzzin' turned to Golden King `Take over. I'm going after Baby. No one else leave the Wave, OK'
`But none of us is supposed to leave the Wave', said Angel.
`Don't worry. I'll be back, babe'. Before any of the others could protest, Buzzin' leapt from the Wave. Triumphant, Drawoc watched as Buzzin was swallowed up by the dark. His idea had worked. Now the gang was without a leader...weaker.
`Let's see how good you are without your leader', said Drawoc, looking smug.
`We'll be better', said Golden King, coolly. `You've given us personal reasons to win this battle'
`Yeah. You've succeeded in making us more determined than before', said Quicksilver.
The smug expression slid from Drawoc's face as the truth of their words hit home.
`Not so sure of yourself now, huh Drawoc', said Foxy
`You're arrogance could be your downfall', persisted Drawoc
`And we'll take you with us', said Funnybone.
`You can try...'

Menroc turned towards the Chief Councillor, his face a mask of horror `NO! Buzzin' is supposed to command the Battle...without him...'
`I know', said the Chief Councillor. `I know. But we must have faith in the others and trust Buzzin's judgement'
`Baby...in the House of Demons. Why...he'll...he'll go...mad' Menroc, gulped.
The Chief Councillor turned to face Menroc `Fear is the foundation of all mental illness'. But Buzzin' will be there too...'
Menroc turned back the Screen of Life.
Baby in the House of Demons and Buzzin'no longer on the Wave...anything could happen!
Could the gang really do as well without Buzzin'.
Menroc closed his eyes and prayed, silently.

Baby found himself surrounded by a dense blackness that pulled on him and restricted his movements. He panicked, triing to fight against the crushing weight of the darkness but the more he fought the more the dark gripped him; after a while he felt weaker and surrendered to his fate.
Helpless and alone he cried, wishing he was back with Buzzin' and the others on the Wave; thinking of his friends made him feel even more isolated. He renewed his efforts and pushed against the darkness but felt the energy constrict, crushing his limbs.
Suddenly, in the distance, a tall shadowy structure loomed up; as Baby drew closer an opening revealed itself; like a gaping mouth waiting to swallow its prey, the only entrance to the House of Demons, waited for another victim.
Baby fought in vain as he neared the opening but the magnetic current pulled him through and he landed with a thud on a hard surface; the sound of a metal door slamming shut echoed around him.
`Welcome to the House of Demons'. The chilling voice came out of nowhere.
Baby staggered to his feet, trembling, he called out `Whhoo...are you...'
Baby waited but there was no reply, only a heavy silence that matched the surrounding gloom.
Baby had never felt so alone and frightened as he was then, surrounded by endless dark. More than anything he wanted to go back to Buzzin' and the others.
Just to think of them made him cry; he took a step forward, searching the darkness for a door or window.
`Let me out', he cried. `Let me go. Buzzin'...Buzzin'
But there was no reply.
Baby was alone in the House of Demons!
